If your faith is focused on yourself there isn’t much hope since we ain't perfekt & can’t seem to save ourselves over the past few millenniums. If your faith is outside yourself in a god - being a ‘high-power’, Allah, Jesus, or even a doorknob – we need to know HOW to apply what we believe is right per our conscience with a solid basis (like the “10 Commandments”) to daily life & true peace. To treat others as you would like to be treated (“love one another”, if you will) would be ideal, but is it realistic? Some people just have an attitude &/or actions that isn’t good! Liars, moochers, selfish, greedy, drunk &/or dopeheads are some of these. …yet who among us has never told a lie? Who among us has never desired something that someone owned (excluding getting one like it at the store)? We’ve all done some pretty selfish things to ourselves & others: it’s all a CHOICE.
In relationship we have a tendency to feel compassion & love for the other person in it. We want them to like us & get along with us as we them! What would please him/her? This can greatly help in the CHOICEs we have daily.
Ever go to a church & find it, well, DEAD? No real basics on how to apply your beliefs & faith? Either there is a strict atmosphere or people are falling [or being pushed] down acting weird, indecent &/or "out of order" (1Cor 14:40)? Where is the balance or, rather, where is the REALITY?
Be real: let people (including yourself & God) know your only human yet pursuing holiness & God-peace (Phil 4:7; Col 3:15).

While there are other churches of most any denominational background in the area, some of which I’ve been to & would go back to; others which are in critical need of repentance (see “about”), Yucca Valley is probably like your community: “there are all sorts on both sides of the prison bars & both sides of the church doors - and pulpits”. People are people in need of a Savior – whether an individual knows it or not. God help & have mercy on us all, as we are receptive & obey His guidance!

By doing this, we as laypeople will know if we're being 'fed' the right stuff & NOT some of the usual man-based 'tradition'; as well as knowing if our 'leaders' are truly following Christ [1Cor11:1] (according to their "fruit" [Mt7:16,20] 'we will know by the Word of God' [Heb4:12]). We need to "judge righteous judgment" [Jn7:24] as well as what is stated [1Cor10:15] in 'love and meekness' [Gal6:1], thus holding people accountable - regardless of who is in question: leaders and laity alike (as well as 'examining ourselves'! [2Cor13:5]). God have mercy on us all, and help us to 'repent quickly' [Rev2:5] when we realize we are in rebellion (sin) to the Lord Jesus. KEEP ABIDING [Jn15:1-7], as I hope to see ya-all later! \o/
